About Bob Aylward

Bob Aylward grew up in a family of nine children. His father was a serial entrepreneur who moved the family to several different states to pursue various business opportunities during Bob’s childhood. Bob often worked in his father’s business ventures, which gave him an early perspective on the building blocks of running a business and what it takes to build successful relationships with people from all walks of life.

Bob worked his way through undergraduate school by taking a variety of jobs at night and on weekends so he could attend class during the day at Illinois State University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in economics. Bob also holds an MBA from Johns Hopkins University.

In retirement, Bob serves as a coach/mentor for executives and business owners. He and his wife Kelly also operate the Aylward Family Foundation which focuses on equipping the marginalized and those at-risk for a more sustainable and impactful life. Bob and Kelly live in the Charlotte North Carolina area and enjoy spending time with their five children and their grandchildren.
